Church As Ally

Combatting anti-Muslim bias requires the work of all of us and Christian churches have a particular responsibility, as well as opportunity to engage their congregations in ways that truly make a difference, helping us to see ways in which our society normalizes Christianity which then reinforces biases seen in other places. This video, with interviews captured on our “Ramadan Roadtrip” with our partner Shoulder to Shoulder, is designed to spark conversation, open our eyes to the ways in which we may be unintentionally participating in anti-Muslim bias and bigotry and more importantly gives us tools to become better allies to our sisters and brothers. Please use the video for your Sunday service, coffee hour, adult education time or when and however you wish to create space and occasion for these important discussions.
